The apartment is situated in the heart of Neuva Andalucia which is located a short distance behind Puerto Banus. Known as 'Golf Valley' it’s a great location, surrounded by golf courses with a great choice of restaurants, good shopping facilities and only a mile and a half from the port and beaches (6 Euros in a taxi)

You will find a row of restaurants within a few minutes walk of the apartment, mainly French and Scandinavian. A favourite is The Bistro Gallery, the owners Money & Miriam have been here nine years now and have established a reputation for good quality at reasonable prices. The views across Las Brisas as the sun goes down are spectacular, the staff are always happy and helpful and the food excellent. Money specialises in spicy foods but also prepares top class steaks etc in his open kitchen. There are no vegetarian meals on the menu but, as with most things in The Gallery, all you have to do is ask. Excellent food with a good children's menu  (952 818262)

Another fine restaurant in this row is El Girasol (952 813 859), large patio dining area, first class food, a comprehensive wine list and attentive service. Prado 23 and Aloha Grill are also recommended. New on the scene in 2009 is Evita, a fabulous Argentinian meat restaurant that is recommended by everyone!

Other restaurants close to the apartment include The Caddyshack - Ribs & Grill (plus drinking until the early hours!) and the Aloha Cafe - English food and Sky TV. Slightly further on you will find the Pasta Cafe - great Pasta & Pizza with a nice atmosphere at the outside tables (952 906 070). El Ganesh (952 906 868), a good Indian and Yanks  (952 818 861) at Centro Plaza (don't miss the fabulous Saturday market here) nice for breakfast and lunch. All in all there is something to suit every taste, all within a few minutes walk of the apartment.

There are 3 local supermarkets - Opencor, which is right next to the row of restaurants by the apartment, selling all basic provisions and open from 8am until 2am 7 days a week. There are also excellent much larger stores Mercadona and Supersol close by, both have everything you could possibly need including fine fresh fish and meat counters.

Drinking can be had at a number of local bars, including the infamous 'Pedro's Bar' - you'll find Pedro on the edge of the complex by the roundabout. A character indeed, serving with his wife Pipa until the last customer leaves!

El Jardin is a contemporary lounge bar situated at the edge of the Aloha complex. The bar was taken over by a new management team in 2007 and completed it's revamp in May 2008. There is a large garden area offering al fresco drinking with seating around a large outside bar - their offering of plates of Manchego Cheese, Serrano Ham or toasties are delicious and tasty. With it's modern 'chic-boutique' decor and the ever friendly staff, El Jardin continues to be the most popular bar in Aloha.

The Point is a modern bar that is busy every night at the end of the row of restaurants opposite Opencor.  It has a stylish design with a large open air terrace - a great place to sip a cold drink and watch the world pass by. For a more local style there are also bars and Cantenas at Centro Plaza.

With a DVD rental shop with internet access and tennis, football and basketball courts there really is everything you could need right on your doorstep - oh, and then there's the small matter of Puerto Banus a short cab ride away!
